More than 50 years ago, a young boy from a middle-class family was introduced to the process of screen printing by a family friend, in a casual conversation during one of his visits. The kid was so enamoured by this process that as a part of pretend-play, he chose to be the owner of a printing business. 

 

Who knew then, that this innocent dream seen by those young eyes would later flourish into a successful business venture with a loyal-for-decades list of clientele and many national and international awards and accolades to it's credit. 

 

The name, that is now well known and well acknowledged in the printing and allied industries, is that of Mr. Ravindra Keshav Sawant.

 

Fuelled by curiosity and fostered by imagination, not only did he acquire an in-depth knowledge of his core process of screen printing, but also took a keen interest in and learnt processes like pad printing, vacuum forming, hydrographics, metal etching, resin casting, lenticular printing, sand blasting, hot-foil stamping, decal printing and firing, cement casting, spray painting etc. and set up an ingenious in-house lab to brings these skills in practical usage.

 

But since he was catering to the printing needs of a price-sensitive market of plastic houswares,  there were limitations to his creative expression using these various methods, as the market could neither bear any additional costs nor was it as experimental in terms of value addition. 

 

So he decided to find an industry where he could utilize these acquired skills. It was difficult to stretch into different industries so he decided to home all industries under one roof....this industry was "Home décor".

 

And thus was born Hoy Maharaja Home Décor! 

 

It's his vision, we're just executing it. 
 

We're currently just a team of three, including 2 doctors, 2 MBAs, 1 glass artist, 1 marketing guy, 1 graphics person and an admin, along with a small task force, creating stuff we like, hoping you'll like it too! (And buy it as well!)
